Mileage: 91,280 miles Beautiful, well cared for and great driving 1968 Convertible. Not up to NCRS or Bloomington Gold standards due to the changes that have been made, yet it is an awesome example of a chrome bumper car. Yes, I know 68s didnt have fender emblems and all the engine chrome, let alone knock offs, but they look good on this car. Great paint, 9 out of 10, and strong engine that was rebuilt approximately 4,000 miles ago. While it started life as a 327/300 it is now way more than that with the rebuild. Higher compression, slight cam increase, Edelbrock aluminum high rise with Holley duel feed 600 CFM, Mallory/MSD ignition, Milodon 7 qt. oil pan with high velocity oil pump, and is nicely detailed. It is the original engine that came with the car from the factory as evidenced by the photos, VIN ends in 13972, and does have power steering but not power brakes. Headlamp and wiper doors work properly, all gauges work except for clock. New Sony AM/FM CD. All panels have good gaps. Has new soft top and a near perfect vinyl covered hard top. Drives out great with strong engine, smooth shifting tranny and good clutch. I havent owned the car very long and bought from previous owner who had it for 11 years. My love and passion is 65-67 coupes (owned and restored many back when they were affordable) and thought this 68 would fit the bill, but they just dont compare to a mid year, so desire to sell and move on. Trades considered. I urge any potential purchasers to come see and drive in person and you will love it. Please contact me with any questions at: 217-369-0174, Tom, or through my email that ebay has.
